About Kids Hope INC. Indianapolis

Kids Hope Inc., based in Indianapolis, is a compassionate nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hope and education to vulnerable children and communities in Liberia. Our story began with a mission to support orphaned and underserved children and communities in Ganta, Liberia during the Ebola crisis of 2014. In response to this need, we partnered with local leaders to establish Kids Hope and Better Future Foundation in 2015, and by 2017 we launched an academy in Ganta that welcomed 84 students – including children orphaned by Ebola – in its first class . Since then, we have continued to grow and empower children through quality education and compassionate support. Driven by compassion and a commitment to brighter futures righteous leaders , Kids Hope Inc. remains dedicated to nurturing young lives and expanding opportunities so that every child can thrive.

Our Story

During the EBOLA CRISIS in West Africa, our hearts came to light for Ganta, Liberia, when we found 84 children having lost parents, entire families, and were abandoned. A brave individual named Emmanuel joined 80 other teachers to go from village to village educating residents about EBOLA and how to minimize transmission. As a result, EBOLA deaths in the area dropped from 16 per week to 2 per week. While Monrovia, the capital city of Liberia, experienced more than 500 deaths per week. An NGO was formed due to the inability of finding funds for expensive expensive schools. 250 needy kids were identified by the men there. More than $25,000 per year would be needed to help all of these kids but, only $3500 worth of donations could be found at the time.

Emmanuel found men and two women willing to be part of the formation of the NGO. After proper documentation and procedures followed the NGO was formed and operational. They formed “Kids Hope Better Future Foundation Academy” Which is where the work began. This is a school of quality Christian education. The fees are affordable for local students and orphans join unable to pay the fees.

The Lord continued to move and led Kids Hope Inc. to focus on the orphans’ future by providing a strong foundation on Christ and education. Through generous contributions, Kids Hope Inc. Indianapolis aids and supports the NGO in Liberia and Surrounding area schools. As numbers grow and the need grows a permanent location with a bigger and more secure building is needed. For this purpose, a piece of land was purchased in Ganta in 2020. Excavation of the land and the foundation for a 12-classroom building have begun. However, more donations are needed to continue the work. By providing support to Orphan children through technology and Education. Kids Hope continues to impact many schools, Communities, Etc.

Dear Brothers/Sisters in Christ.

On behalf of the teachers and Ebola orphans in Ganta, we want to extend our Appreciations to you for thinking about us and to be able to meet our needs especially during the Ebola era that have taken away many lives.

Therefore, it did not only claim lives, but also make living condition very difficult, for the private school teacher’s , but through your help most of our problems are been solved little by little.

However, the fund was also able to build up the hope of orphans by meeting most of their basic need; we pray and hope that it will continue so that we can be in school.
